The A- Z of Fashion from Concept to Runway
Join us for an exceptional opportunity to learn and design with world renown New York based Fashion Designer Wendye Chaitin. In this 10-week fashion programs for children ages 8 - 12 or 12 through 16, students will learn the basic language of Fashion.
These courses will cover: Theme and concept, sketching, draping, fitting and contruction all the way through to runway production.
The classes are open to all skill levels and our instructor is patient and dedicated. Each child will receive one-on-one time with the instructor nurturing his or her vision and creation.
Fashion is a wonderful way for chidren to express themselves while gaining confidence in a very hands-on environment. Each young designer will get to sketch, drape, fit, cut, sew and model his or her very own creation.
T-SHIRT DESIGN
In our T-shirt design class, t-shirts are a "blank canvas" for creative expression.
These are T-shirts with handmade designs that children can create and wear.
The T-shirt medium can incorporate many different artistic integrations such as feathers, rhinestones, metallic paint, lacce shapes, paint, you name it! Each child will choose a T-shirt and envision and masterpiece that can tell a story or represent abstract wearable art.
